Meet Chef Bill Sanders:
His culinary journey started at Pig & Prince in Montclair with Chef Mike Carrino at the age of 16. Bill’s first job was a bus boy, and was consistently kicked out of the kitchen for asking too many questions. He quickly realized he was drawn to the back of house. This prompted him asking for a shot to work in the kitchen. Sanders worked his way through the ranks from brunch prep, line cook, Sous chef to Executive chef over the course of his now 12 year career. Even taking 2 years off from the kitchen to manage at Shake Shack and learn the other side of the business.
His motto is “Food for the soul…from the soul.” He found his love for Asian cuisine back in 2015 in the early days of his career, which led him to the art of ramen making. After many years of reading cookbooks and watching documentaries then teaching himself how to make everything from scratch, Chef Sanders became known for his unique take on these traditional dishes.
